Trail Description

The trail immediately drops down to the Boreal Creek and crosses via an excellent foot bridge. Soon after crossing the creek the trail begins to steady ascend to the Ozalenka Creek Valley. There are three crossings of the Ozalenka Creek and 2 avalanche slide to traverse on the way but the trail is easy to follow. After 2 - 2.5 hours the valley opens up and the trail enters the meadows where the cabin is located. It will sleep 8 to 10.

Trail Access

From McBride head west, turning left onto the Dore River Road. Follow until the pavement ends in 2km, the road becomes the Dore River Forest Road. At 6.3 km take the right at the fork, after crossing the east fork of the Dore River the road climbs uphill to the right. Stay on the main fork for about 15km. Take the right fork that crosses the Dore River again and proceed to the trail head at 19km. There is a pull out to park in.
